Nosenastics

“Nosenastics” The Game your dog plays with its nose.

.
This is all about introducing the fun concepts of the new Nosenastics class by Good Calm Dog Training.
One of the first things dogs learn after birth is the use of their nose. Did you know that there are more than 220 million olfactory receptors dedicated to the sense of smell?

That’s 1,000 times more sensitive than that of us humans!
In this class, the development of your dog’s natural scenting abilities are exercised. You’ll learn how to encourage and develop your dog’s natural scenting abilities. It’s really very entertaining to see your dog having fun while exercising their nose to find a favourite treat (reward) hidden in various places.

To do this we use containers of various sizes and shapes to conceal the treats.
Emphasis is on building confidence and focus in your dog in a fun and safe environment. There is no prerequisite to join in. This fun class is appropriate for virtually any dog regardless of age, breed, or physical limitations.
