NBN skills for real-life success.
This class introduces the fun concepts of the Nose-Nastics class.
One of the first things dogs learn to do is use their nose. There are more than 220 million olfactory receptors dedicated to the sense of smell. That’s 1,000 times more sensitive than that of humans.
In this class, you’ll learn how to encourage and develop your dog’s natural scenting abilities. The goal is to get your dog excited about using his or her nose to find a favourite treat (reward) hidden in various places. To do this we use containers of various sizes and shapes to conceal the treats.
Emphasis is on building confidence and focus in your dog in a fun and safe environment. There is no prerequisite to join in. This fun class is appropriate for virtually any dog regardless of age, breed or physical limitations.
